Challenge

Wanting to enhance the safety of its facility and the wellbeing of residents, Urbanest sought out a solution that could increase its ability to monitor access and enhance operational efficiency. At the same time, facility leadership needed to consider how a new implementation could strengthen the building’s chic appearance while being compatible with resident preferences. 

Solution

Partnering with ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions in order to address its security, aesthetic and resident lifestyle needs, the complex opted to install the Visionline locking solution alongside Signature RFID door locks equipped with mobile access capability. With Signature RFID, properties gain a stylish solution that offers advanced anti keycard cloning abilities.

To better align with a building’s appearance, facilities are able to select from a range of door handle designs, with the lock’s minimalistic appearance ensuring that only the door handle and RFID reader are ever visible to residents. By also opting to implement ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions Mobile Access, Urbanest Darling Square is able to provide its residents with a way to access their rooms on their own terms, using personal mobile devices.

The solution works in tandem with a downloadable mobile app from ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions to provide a digital key that is encrypted and securely delivered using advanced Seos technology. With Visionline, Urbanest Darling Square is able to ensure total peace of mind for their residents, thanks to the ability to remotely monitor keycard usage and access to any area of the facility. Any keycard that is suspected of being stolen or otherwise used in an unauthorized manner, can be instantly deactivated before any threat to security emerges or increases.
